An officer of the 1989 batch of IRS, currently posted as Principal Commissioner of Income Tax in Chennai. She has an academic background in Public Policy, Law and Sociology with a number of publications to her credit. As a recipient of the prestigious Fulbright Fellowship in 2015 she spent substantial time during her year in the United States working on issues of global tax justice. This included a policy paper written for the Ambassador at the Permanent Mission of India to the UN in New York.
She has contributed to the wok of the Geneva based South Centre and regularly addresses students and professionals on matters of ethics, gender, minority and development.
Jahanzeb on North-South Issues, Equity in Global Taxation, Public Goods and financing the UN SDGs. She is TSP lead and key resource person in the design and delivery of our Public Policy Courses and programmes.
