
Dibya Singh works for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in India. As Project Officer she is responsible for the implementation of the IKEA Foundation funded project “Disha: Creating Employment and Entrepreneurship Opportunities for Women in India” that aims to improve the lives of one million Indian women and girls by creating scalable models in the value chain to enable women to learn marketable skills, connect to jobs or start their own enterprises. She is a key player in building strategic partnershipswith the Government, Businesses, Academia, Training institutions, and civil society.
Prior to this assignment with UNDP, Dibya has worked on projects with ECI-UNDP and UN Women. Before that she worked with AXA Assurance in the New Business Development team based at Coventry, UK. She has held various positions with the State government working primarily on Skilling, Livelihoods and Entrepreneurship sector. She started her career in the development sector as Deputy Collector of Bokaro, Jharkhand in 2000. Dibya is an advocate of Inclusive growth and Gender equality. She holds a Master in Anthropology from University of Delhi. She is actively engaged with TSP in Green Skilling related activities.
